Just a Sliver...

I keep telling Dan that I have the quickest reflexes on planet Earth but he has had his doubt until we got it on video. I should mention this is only a sliver of what I can do with these short-stop hands of mine :)

A Trip to Westview...

Football season is just around the corner and Dan already has Carson in training...the only thing missing is a football and he has assured me that will be purchased the next time we go to the employee store.

Last weekend of July

Well, we spent most of our weekend close to home because Carson is fighting a nasty summer-bug but we were able to get him outside a bit more now that has officially hit the walking milestone...Or, in Dan's words - one step closer to helping Dad with yard work. He also made note that only one leaf at a time is going to cause for some long weekends in the future...enjoy these photos of Carson's first stroll outside.

Who do I look like?

Hi Everyone!
I've been wanting to pull together some photos of Dan and I as kids to compare to what Carson looks like now. Okay, okay, I know I looked like a boy! It took two years for my hair to grow in to be the luscious curls they turned out to be. Lucky for Carson it doesn't matter because it makes him look more tough and manly. This will be the first time some people have seen a photo of Dan and they may be surprised to see Carson is a mini-carbon copy of him with some Mom thrown in there for good-measure.
Enjoy!

Just call me...

Mr. Talented! Not only can I walk (short distances) like a big-boy, but I can also make really cool noises, while keeping my eye on the prize - one of the coolest things in the house...A Door Stop!!

Ring Around the Rosey

Last weekend we got together for Kristen's 30th birthday! When we arrived Amelia was having her pre-dinner snack and Carson wanted to hang with Aunt Kristen for awhile. Amelia was a little unsure about Kristen holding another baby at first but soon warmed up and started grabbing his hand to play 'Ring Around the Rosey'. As you can see Carson enjoyed this little interaction...what a nice cousin!

The Battle of the Fiercest Roar

I found this video clip as I was browsing through all Carson's short-films. We recorded this back in February when we were in the old house.

You can see the absolute shock in CJ's face when Dad comes back with a roar of his own. Dan might have the deepest roar but Carson wins with the chest-puff...

White boys have rythm too!

Well, sort of...we're just working on the balance factor :)

Here is our little man showing off his moves...

Thank you, Grammie!

Hi Grammie,

I just wanted to thank you for the trip to the zoo today, the leopard animal and very comfy t-shirt. I had so much fun hanging out with you!

Love,
Carson

My shirt says - Claws...
or Tails!

Day at the Zoo

Hi everyone - another beautiful Saturday here in Oregon! This morning Carson and I went to the zoo with Grammie, Aunt Kristen, and cousin Amelia. The kids and grown-ups had a blast! I'll go ahead and start with a before and after photo of the kids...

We started with the underwater section. Carson seemed to be more interested in the rocks he could touch but eventually took some interest in the fish.

Carson's favorite stop...the Elephants! This one was relaxing in the sun but there were a couple others walking around that Carson didn't take his eyes off of.

Carson listening to the sounds of the hippos through a speaker...

Zebras...

Carson spend most of the day on the edge of his seat...

Kristen is due any day now and check out that belly!!!

"C'mon Grammie! Pick up the pace!"

And now we're on countdown mode to knock-out time. I tried everything in my power to keep him up until we got home but there was nothing I could do...

And it's official...

Carson only slept until we got home but I'm predicting a very long afternoon nap...

Mischievous Little Man

Tonight I was cooking, Dan was doing some chores around the house, and Carson was playing in the family room. Just as dinner was about ready Dan and I came together and found Carson had made his way into his toy box...No wonder he was so content!!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July to everyone! This was our first 4th of July with Carson and it was full of stimulation for the whole family. So much so that Carson only moved about 2 inches last night despite the fireworks from 8-midnight. Here is our day in a nutshell...

Children's Museum

Our 4th of July began at the Children's Museum with cousin Amelia, Uncle Brian, and Aunt Kristen. It was a lot of fun and full of new things!! We started at the water station, where Carson was fascinated with the plastic fish he found. We then went on to play some music, climb a tree house, do some grocery shopping, played with some blocks, and then finished up with a sing-along...

Splish Splash

After the Children's Museum we went home and Carson took a record-breaking 2 1/2 hour nap! Mom and Dad were thrilled to have some time to relax for once! After the nap it was full speed ahead as we went over to Grammie and Grandpa's for more stimulation. I'd say the highlight (aside from the delicious food) was the time spent in the backyard playing in the kiddie-pool.

Carson was loving the water-time with everyone around. He was splashing and showing off to Grammie and Aunt Kristen. Amelia took a little longer to warm-up to the idea of getting in the tub but eventually came around to the idea...
