Family Trip to North Carolina

The Bern Bears are speckled throughout downtown. Aunt Linda has one of her own but we weren't able to get a photo of it...

Perhaps some of the most memorable times on the trip were spent in Aunt Linda's backyard, where Carson got to fish for the first time. Dan grew up fishing in Florida so he was right at home with teaching the next generation.

The fish weren't biting too much but Dan got the first catch with this little guy. Carson was quite impressed and excited to join in the celebratory photos before the little guy got tossed back in the lake.

Cousin Tom got the second catch...this guy was much bigger than the first so Carson had to do some exploring. He was a bit hesitant to touch it but eventually got his finger on it and was surprised at the slimminess of it.

A lot of our time was just spent hanging around Aunt Linda's fabulous home enjoying time with family and eating delicious food.

It was a wonderful week and we are finally official...After 6 years of marriage plus 4 years of dating, I have now met all of Dan's living blood relatives (that we know of)! :)

Getting Big

We've been putting Savannah in her booster seat and she absolutely loves being at the table. She is a droolin-fool these days but still no sign of teeth poking through.

This little giraffe is absolutely wonderful! I love this series of photos because she doesn't quite have complete control over her hands so here she is working real hard to eat the little guy.
"Come here, You. I'm going to eat You!"
"Oh, yeah, I got it"

"Duho! At least I have my fingers."

Speaking of fingers...these are the best things in the world! Savannah is constantly sucking on her pointer and middle finger of her left hand. When you hear her really get going, it sounds like there is a squeeky toy around!

A couple photos of Savannah sitting up like a big girl, playing with her favorite toy...
She is one happy girl...
Look at the intensity
"Oh, hey Mom...didn't see you standing there"

And we can't forget big brother...always close by helping her figure out how to play with the toys.

Getting Stronger

Getting SO Big! She is learning how to sit-up these days...I'm thinking by 5 1/2 months she'll be doing this on her own. Then the good times begin!

Savannah is oh-so-close to rolling over. She can't seem to figure out how to get the final roll in but she will kick her feet in the air, throw them off to the side and then flop back to the beginning.
