Axi-dant

This morning Carson and I went to do our grocery shopping and there was a car accident we passed by. When I saw it I pointed it out to Carson and he says "Mommy, what is an axi-dant?". I said, "Well, it is when something happens that we didn't mean to have happen." Carson then replied "Weeeellll, maybe somebody peed on the ground."
So funny how a toddlers mind works!

Ryan Family Easter

Savannah's First Easter

It was a bit of a gloomy Easter so the pictures are dark but I still love them...and our little girl!

Carson's 4th Easter

Eating a "Healthy" Rice Crispy Treat from Aunt Kristen...
Yum!
So, the goggles have been a huge hit. I picked up a package from Costco the other day and we gave them to Carson as his next reward for filling up his coin bank. It's been a week and it's a rare occasion for him not to be wearing them. I just love these photos as they really show who Carson is these days...a sweet, handsome, goofy, little boy!

Easter Eggs

Our first year dying Easter Eggs. We had a ton of fun and managed to keep the clean-up to a minimum. Next year that may be a bit harder with a 14 month old participating!

Sleepy Girl No More!

Well, it's been a few weeks since I've had a chance to sit down to import some photos but today is the day I get caught up! As you'll see from the photos, Savannah is growing SOO much by the day. Her little personality is starting to really shine as she begins to really interact with us by coos and smiles. I've been having fun talking to her and then getting the biggest smile. Our once sleepy girl is now growing up! For the first 5 weeks she was sleeping near 20 hours a day...this was nice as it gave me a chance to recover from the surgery but she's now 9 1/2 weeks old and only sleeps for 1-2 hours in between each feeding. The other good news is she's still a fantastic little sleeper at night giving us between 7-9 hours of rest at a time. She'll go down about 8:00 and sleep to somewhere between 3-5. She'll then go back down to sleep for another 3 hours until I wake her up to get on schedule for the day. I'd say we're pretty lucky to have such a sweet and easy going little lady! Alright, that's probably enough chit-chat...here are some catch-up photos from the last few weeks.

5 Weeks: Still a pretty sleepy girl but is growing a ton! This is the look of someone about to fall asleep in about 2 minutes.

6 Weeks: She's getting better at holding her head up! This was also the week of her first major cold...poor thing was all congested and had the little cough to go with it. She had 1 bad day and then she started working it out. We still have a lingering cough as of today but her little lungs are slowly healing.

7 Weeks: ...And que the smiles of pure joy instead of gas! I started using the play mat and bouncer much more as of this week. She is great about entertaining herself on these and gives me a chance to get some things done around the house while she's awake!

8 Weeks: The play mat gets better by the day!

9 Weeks: Mom's still making me do tummy time but I'm getting much stronger.
...still 9 Weeks and I wanted to see what she'd do in the Bumbo Chair. Needed an assist from Mom a few times but she's getting so strong!
