February Fashion Show

Back in February, Carson's class had a Fashion Show. They showed off the wonderful vests they made and the Nike shoes they decorated. All the parents were there and a wobbler class from down the hall came to watch as well. It was so much fun to see all the kids and their different personalities when put on the spot. Some started crying right away, some were okay if walked with a Mom or teacher, others were diggin the center of attention, and others, like Carson would rather not participate at all :) Needless to say, I got a few pictures to capture the event...

One thing the teachers were not anticipating was the kids seeing all the parents before the big event! Once I showed up all the kids were outside the room all excited to see their Mom's and Dad's. Then the kids had to go back in the room to get dressed while the parents took our seats. Many of the kids were crying at this point - including Carson. Here he is peeking outside the room to keep an eye on me...
Okay, and here comes Carson...I should mention they even had one of the teachers announcing the children and their decorations with music playing. Carson was okay at this point thinking...'Yeah, I'll just stay right here, thanks'...

'Oh no, you mean I have to go out there...!?'

Here is teacher Nicole trying to coax him along...this was about as far as he got before he ran over to me. It seemed that most of the boys did not make it to the runway and most of the girls did...imagine that!

La-di-da...
...As you can see, he is much more comfortable parading around in the backround :)
Carson showing me his shoe...again, he didn't make it through the runway for this...
Okay, kids, let's line up and take a bow! You'll notice the one little boy to make it up there is crying :)
After the fashion show the kids showed us how to they play the bear hunt game. Carson decided it was more important to clean-up the runway blocks instead...that's our little organizer!
And finally, I got him to put the vest on later that evening...isn't it beautiful!
It's no surprise that Carson is a bit introverted like his Mom & Dad. Although he didn't walk the runway we had a wondeful time! The teachers did such a great job of pulling together all these 2-3 year olds!
After the fashion show we got to join the kids for lunch. It was so much fun to see the kids eating together and how they interact. We are so lucky to have Carson in this fantastic daycare school!
